QUEDANCOR OBSERVES POVERTY WEEK
 

In the observance of the National Poverty Week, the officers and staff of the Quedan and Rural Credit Guarantee Corporation (QUEDANCOR) conducted a poverty reduction symposium held at the agency’s main office. Photo shows Officer-in-Charge for Corporate Services Vice President Marissa E. Caparaz explaining among the employees the ill effects of extreme poverty not only in the Philippines, but virtually in all Asian developing countries as well. Ms. Caparaz highlighted that 25 to 30 million Filipinos are still poor and suffering from poverty. And that 3 out of 4 poor Filipinos live in the rural areas. On the part of the Corporation, the intensification of pro-poor credit and loan programs shall be considered the priority program of QUEDANCOR to help alleviate the incidence of poverty in the country.
