QUEDANCOR Concludes
2-day Planning Conference
The
Quedan and Rural Credit Guarantee Corporation (QUEDANCOR) concluded the
two-day 2007 Planning and Assessment Conference held at the agency’s main
office. QUEDANCOR Officer-in-Charge Federico A. Espiritu welcomed the
participants composed of key officers from Central Office, Area Cluster
Supervisors, Regional Assistant Vice Presidents (RAVPs) and selected
District Officers and laid down the parameters and objectives of the
conference. The said convention aims to fine-tune and validate the
effectiveness of strategies initiated under the OPLAN RISE, formulate
specific courses of action and refine the corporate thrust for CY 2008.
QUEDANCOR
Board Management Committee Chairman Alex Raoul Villano graced the opening
of the plenary session and encouraged participants to exert their best
efforts and to strive for the interest of the Corporation. He added that
the conference will obtain a well-fuelled collection initiative that will
spur momentum in the operation and collection effort initiated under OPLAN
RISE. Chairman Villano also expressed his appreciation over management’s
pro-active stance in the delivery of agri-credit.
Officer-in-Charge for Corporate Services Marissa Caparaz provided the
conference methodology and explained the expected output of the plenary.
After the orientation proper, Loans and Management Senior Vice President
Alex B. Butic presented to the participants the operational thrust
QUEDANCOR is pursuing relative to the mandate of accelerating the delivery
of credit into the countryside. Senior Vice President for Finance
Management Niels Patrick C. Riconalla discussed the Corporation’s
financial concerns in relation to the fiscal discipline the agency is
under taking.
One
of the highlights of the 2007 the Planning and Assessment Conference was
the workshop proper dividing the participants into five working groups or
areas assisted by the respective Operation Cashflow Whip Focal Persons as
facilitators.
The workshop proper dwelt and tackled major areas of concerns specifically
on how to improve collection as regards the Swine Program, SRT-AFBO, IAL,
Subrogated Accounts, Dishonored Checks and disposition of Acquired Assets.
In his closing remarks, the OIC congratulated all those who participated
in the conference and welcomed new challenges and development brought
about by said conference.

QUEDANCOR JOINS INTERNATIONAL COASTAL
CLEAN-UP CELEBRATION IN SARANGANI PROVINCE

In line with the
growing movement for global ecological preservation and environmental
sustainability, the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR)
has spearheaded the launching of the 22nd International Coastal Cleanup
and Mangrove Planting Program with the theme: "Trees for Life - 20 Million
Seedlings for Planting" . The event aims to replenish the mangrove
resource at Tinoto, Maasim, a known coastal town at Sarangani Province.
The coastal cleanup and tree-planting program saw the participation of
private companies and government agencies around the province, including
the management and personnel of the Quedan and Rural Credit Guarantee
Corporation (QUEDANCOR) South Cotabato District Office. Photo shows the

JOINS DENR AND SARANGANI LGU
IN GLOBAL ECO-DRIVE

Doing its share as a responsible government agency whose
mandate is to deliver the necessary credit services to the rural
countryside being part of the state’s role in safeguarding the best
interest of its citizenry through social, economic and environmental
aspects, the management and staff of the Quedan and |
Rural Credit Guarantee Corporation (QUEDANCOR)
South Cotabato District Office joined fellow National Government Agencies
(NGAs), local civic organizations, members of the academe and other
societal groups in the celebration of the 22nd International Coastal
Clean-up and Mangrove Planting under Green Philippines Program: "Trees for
Life- 20 million Seedlings for Planting". This activity has also been
celebrated worldwide, culminating in the clean-up of the shoreline in
Tinoto, Maasim in Sarangani Province and the planting of Mangrove
seedlings by the QUEDANCOR staff and other participants, with the
objective of replenishing the dwindling Mangrove population in order to
sustain the ecological balance of aquatic life in the area. Photo shows

IN
GLOBAL
ECOLOGICAL DRIVE
Officers and
personnel of the Quedan and Rural Credit Guarantee Corporation (QUEDANCOR)
South Cotabato District Office took a breather from their normal functions
in the office as they joined other participants coming from other state
agencies, local government units, academic institutions, private
corporations and societal organizations in the worldwide enviromental
drive which is the 22nd International Coastal Clean-up and Mangrove
Planting under Green Philippines Program: Trees for Life- 20 Million
Seedlings for Planting". This activity is aimed at promoting a sustainable
ecological cycle thru aquatic preservation made possible by cleaning
shorelines and supplementing the number of Mangrove trees, a known habitat
of marine life, within the coastal community of Tinoto in Maasim in

QUEDANCOR SOUTH COTABATO JOINS
GLOBAL COASTAL CLEAN-UP CAMPAIGN
Aside
from its regular duties of providing affordable and accessible credit to
local farmers and fisherfolk to jumpstart their
respective agri-fishery endeavors, the Quedan and Rural Credit Guarantee
Corporation (QUEDANCOR) has also heeded the national government’s call for
the sustainable development of the country’s environmental resources. In this regard, personnel of the QUEDANCOR South
Cotabato District Office took time out from their usual routines to join
fellow state agencies, civic organizations and academic institutions in
the Department of Environment and Natural Resources’
Program AWARE (Aqua World Awareness, Responsibility
and Education) event which is
the 22nd International
Coastal
Clean-Up coinciding with the
launching of the Green Philippines Program (GPP) for
Mangrove Planting, as it aims to provide a total of 20 Million seedlings
for planting. This remarkable event was also simultaneously held in other
areas worldwide. The event was held at the coastal
